He is best known for his works such as Impression, Sunrise, Water Lilies, Woman with a Parasol and The Japanese Bridge. Monet's artistic style focused on capturing light and color in natural settings through loose brushwork and plein air techniques. He famously painted the same subject, such as his water lilies and the Rouen Cathedral, multiple times under different lighting conditions and seasons, demonstrating his fascination with the effects of light and atmosphere on perception. His contributions to art include pioneering the use of color and light to depict fleeting moments, influencing future generations of artists.
